Where did it all begin, and what does it mean?
Astralis is derived from the Latin word "astra", meaning stars, and is commonly translated as starry, or relating to stars. Poets might take it a step further and say it means revealed or determined by the stars, similar to fate or destiny. While we aren't sure about destiny, our path has certainly been intermingled with the stars.

Our founder has had a love of the pioneering engineering and science work done at NASA since she was little. Having had the opportunity to work closly with NASA for over 25 years, she continues to marvel at the inspiring things they do. To honor that legacy of wonder and exploration, the stars in our logo are the same official pantone shade of red as the "worm" logo.

The stars in the logo themselves also have a second meaning. Fans of J.M. Barrie will know that the "second star to the right and straight on 'til morning" is how Peter Pan gets to Neverland. Neverland, a place of eternal youth and adventure.

So here is to the pursuit of adventure, wonder, and innovation...all of them guided by the stars.
